Ben Affleck will be a phoenominal Batman. The dark and beaten way he played Daredevil will be perfect for Batman. Everything wrong with that movie was NOT his fault.

Affleck > Bale. I have no idea why he was cast for the 3 Nolan movies, and I can't remember a single moment in those movies where his acting shone out.

Bale had one saving grace, and that was his believability as a master of hand to hand fighter during his time as Batman. I didn't hate him, but it's hard to top Clooney.
That last part was serious. The movie sucked but Clooney was a perfect Wayne.

Clooney radiated that whole rich playboy attitude when out of the suit. With Bale that felt like an act.

But will he be as fabulous as before?
(fyi, "Batman's nipples" is now in my search history)

No, in Daredevil he was still just Ben Affleck. He didn't act, he phoned in the whole thing. The reason why this will suck is because The Man of Steel blew ass and at no time ever has Batman been older than Superman.

Yeah. I definitely felt like he was still kind of playing Patrick Bateman. But Nolan was always a bit too concerned with the black psychology of Batman's story. So I'm sure for him he was more than willing to cast someone who looked wooden and uncomfortable as Wayne an in his element as Batman.

I hate that suit. Mostly because it's at the top of the list of reasons that people didnt appreciate Clooney's awesome job as Bruce Wayne.

I thought the New 52 has Bats being older.

He doesn't have a WHOLE lot of range, but I think Batman/Bruce Wayne will be perfect for him.

Nope, and the New 52 is some bull shit.

If Bruce Wayne is even in this one, it might just be Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman

Best "batman" is Michael Keaton - such a great damn psycho
I still think that the best Bruce Wayne is Val Kilmer.
Clooney just couldnt do the emotional baggage that Bruce needed.

"In the New 52, it was established in Action Comics that Supes and Bats have a student/mentor relationship, as Bats is a good 8-10 years older than Superman. The official age of Superman in the New 52 is 22 (in the Action Comics early stories) and 27 (in the rest of the books). while Batman retains his Pre-New 52 age at around the mid-30s."
Thats just from a forum, I'm trying to find something actually put out by DC.

I can't imagine he'll go the whole movie as JUST Batman.

"Batman's age was confirmed to be in his mid-30s during the Superman/Batman #7. He retains this age in The New 52, confirmed by interviews in Newsarama.com
Superman's age was confirmed by Neil Degrasse Tyson himself, guest starring in a Superman comic."

Other than the voice, I loved Bale as Batman. But you're right, Kilmer may very well have Clooney beat as Wayne.

I fucking hate the new 52.

Seeing how it's a Superman movie, I could see it.

Whaaaat!
Someone like Clooney as Batman?

I'm sure you've seen this already but I'll post in case you haven't. My fav Batman parody ever. I love how they dialed in on Bale's voice being terrible.

As Bruce Wayne. He was not great (although not terrible) as Batman.

Love those. And the one with the Riddler too.

I love that one too.
All of them are good. Collegehumor at its best.

I guess I have a hard time with the two Joel Schumacher films. They were both just so bad.

Oh I know. But honestly that's not the Batman Actors' fault. They were both poorly written and directed. But the actors were actually quite good.

Not sure I agree there, but honestly I have no intent of going back and watching those Broadway adaptations of Batman again.
Everything about the movies was just so "what the hell?"
